Sailed today on a small lake (about 800m long and very shallow). In light winds, Lady C. reminded us that she will tack at very low speeds – once she starts to turn she just keeps her long keel turning until she has come round, with not a thought of getting stuck in irons. We had all three sails up at once- jib, foresail and mainsail. The map shows our snaky course…
Local sights included the local refuse lorry- sorry, barge- emptying a bin on an island; and a digger on a barge, pulling itself along doing a digger version of butterfly stroke.
Beer and soup afterwards!
Great pictures of Lady C 🙂 x
